An al Qaeda message, (Al-Qaeda - Obama ) November 2008, reportedly has the following purposes:

(1) to gain sympathy for Obama, (and his various billionaire cronies.)

(2) to gain sympathy for US military action (in the event of any false flag terror operations by the CIA and Mossad).

(3) to gain sympathy for a US takeover, or destruction, of Pakistan.

There is a Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. The Holocaust was one of the worst crimes of the 20th century, with six million Jews killed. However, having this museum in the US capital is unusual, since Americans are neither the murderers nor the victims. Those who were behind the museum in Washington certainly have arguments to defend its construction there. We could probably use this logic and suggest the building near the Holocaust Memorial Museum of a museum for the victims of Israeli wars since before the establishment of Israel, including Deir Yassin, Qibya, Khan Younes, Jenin and Qana, as well as the Egyptian prisoners of war who were killed in 1967. I would not have evoked the Holocaust Museum today had it not been hosting "State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda", a major exhibition about propaganda that runs through Anti-Semitism since WWI. It highlights the prevalence of Nazism in Germany in the 1930s, Hitler and Goebbels's rousing of crowds amid Nazi flags and Anti-Jewish logos, the manner people were deceived, and Nazi soldiers were "programmed" to commit heinous crimes.

I read about this exhibition, which can be seen through 2011, after I had finished writing two articles about the apologists for the crimes Israel committed in its war on the Gaza Strip. I came across strange similarities among the propagandas of the Nazis, Israel, and the lobby that defends it around the world - particularly in the US. However, I noted that the victims this time were by the thousands rather than millions.

Israel is committing Nazi crimes against a population under occupation. Everyone who defends it is another "Goebbels" with children's blood on his hands. When I read what Israeli apologists write, I only publish a tip of the extremism iceberg. Even then I feel that I burden readers and that I'm the only one who cares for this subject. Although I'm aware there are many others like me, I feel that we are talking to the dead.

When I was gathering material to write about Israel and its mob, I did not want to publish more than one article. However, I ended up gathering considerable material, which, although it was more than what was worth mentioning, led me to write two articles. Then I read about the exhibition in the Holocaust Museum, hence today's column.
There is a "Goebbelsian" insolence in pro-Israelis' defense of a crime perpetrated live on TV. In an article called "Indicting Israel for Self-Defense," David Hornik objects to the attempts at accusing Israel of committing war crimes. This means that killing women children in an occupied land is considered to be an act of defense, and it is obvious that Hornik supports it.

As I said in my two previous articles, there is exaggeration in the apologists' manifesto. In "Kristallnacht in Venezuela?" for instance, Kathy Shaidle goes back to 1938 and the Nazi attack on Jews, which involved the destruction of their shops and their killing. And yet, all what happened in Venezuela is that President Hugo Chavez had compared between the war on Gaza and the Holocaust (this is his right) and expelled the Israeli ambassador Shlomo Cohen as a form of protest against the Israeli aggression - which is what some Arabs failed to do. Is this a "broken kristallnacht" (crystal night) or is the night actually nights during which Israel destroyed the Gaza Strip and shattered glass everywhere, even in children's nurseries?

I have much material but not much space. I will conclude with a rectification: I received an email from Claude Salhani saying that the Middle East Times (of which he is the editor-in-chief) is not Jewish as I had dubbed it in my first article. I accept his refutation and make note of it. I described the newspaper as such because the article it published was exactly like the type of articles published by Israeli apologists. It contained unacceptable and incorrect accusations about the "disturbing" expansion of Hezbollah in Latin America based on drug money. The article even stated that Al Qaeda and Hezbollah have connections with drug cartels in Latin America, hence linking the terrorist Al Qaeda with Hezbollah, a national liberation movement. It also discussed crime and drug trafficking networks and a connection with Islamic terrorism.

This and more is demeaning Israeli talk that is full of lies and completely unacceptable. Since, as Salhani says, the Middle East Times is not Jewish, I advise him to better monitor the publication and refrain from writing in Front Page Magazine, the new "Goebbelsian" magazine, which is one of the worst enemies of Arabs and Muslims.

The horrendous mortality and morbidity statistics revealed by the paper "The
Wounds of Gaza", just published in the prestigious medical journal The
Lancet are truly shocking - 1,350 killed (60% children) and 5,450 severely
wounded (40% children) in reprisals for zero (0) Israeli deaths from Gaza
rockets in the preceding year. This demands International Criminal Court and
intra-national prosecutions (e.g. in major Israeli military R & R
destination countries Australia, the US, the UK and India) and Sanctions and
Boycotts against Apartheid Israel by all decent Australians and indeed all
decent people around the world.
The Gaza Strip is a self-governing Apartheid Israeli Concentration Camp
ruled by the Hamas Government which won 76 out of 132 seats in the Occupied
Palestinian Parliamentary elections held under Israeli guns in 2006 (Fatah
won 43 seats) (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas ). The Israelis
responded by arresting as many Hamas MPs as they could find, the remainder
fleeing to Gaza. In the current Israeli Gaza Massacre, the Israelis are
evidently bent on "finishing the job" (they have already destroyed the Gaza
Parliament House). The war criminal, pro-Zionist Western backers of
Apartheid Israel followed suit by declaring the democratically elected Hamas
MPs to be "terrorists" and only dealing with the Fatah.

Under the loathed, Nazi-style, racist Apartheid régime in South Africa its
Bantustans were policed by police and the worst atrocity was the 1960
Sharpeville Massacre in which South African police killed 69 African

official figure is that 69 people were killed, including 8 women and 10
children, and over 180 injured, including 31 women and 19 children".

million per year (annual Palestinian non-violent deaths through war

However the numerically vastly greater Israel atrocity lies in the avoidable
deaths (excess deaths) in the Occupied Palestinian Territory due to

available to it", as unequivocally demanded by Articles 55 and 56 of the
Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of

3,000 under-5 year old Occupied Palestinian infants die every year (about
80% avoidably), this corresponding to 3,000/ 0.7 = 4,286 total avoidable

deaths totaled about 0.2 million; there are over 7 million Palestinian
refugees (4.3 million registered with the UN) - a Palestinian Holocaust and
a Palestinian Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention

Here are some shocking statistics from this report published in one of the
World's top medical journals, The Lancet (see:

wounds of Gaza are deep and multi-layered. Are we talking about the Khan
Younis massacre of 5,000 in 1956 or the execution of 35,000 prisoners of
war by Israel in 1967? Yet more wounds of the First Intifada, when civil
disobedience by an occupied people against the occupiers resulted in massive
wounded and hundreds dead? We also cannot discount the 5,420 wounded in
southern Gaza alone since 2000. Hence what we are referring to below are
only that of the invasion as of 27 December 2008.

Over the period of 27 December 2008 to the ceasefire of 18 Jan 2009, it was
estimated that a million and a half tons of explosives were dropped on Gaza
Strip. Gaza is 25 miles by 5 miles and home to 1.5 million people. This
makes it the most crowded area in the whole world. Prior to this Gaza has
been completely blockaded and starved for 50 days. In fact since the
Palestinian election Gaza has been under total or partial blockade for
several years....

Death toll

As of 25 January 2009, the death toll was estimated at 1,350 with the
numbers increasing daily. This is due to the severely wounded continuing to
die in hospitals. 60% of those killed were children.

Severe injuries

The severely injured numbered 5,450, with 40% being children. These are
mainly large burns and polytrauma patients." End quote.

While in the 1960 Sharpeville Massacre the South African police used
handguns, the weapons used by Israelis on its Gaza Concentration Camp in
2008-2009 included phosphorus bombs (inflicts horrendous burns), heavy bombs
including depleted uranium and DIME bombs (limb-slicing dense inert material
explosives), fuel air explosives (bunker busters and implosion bombs),
silent bombs (a new particle weapon?) and "conventional" automatic handguns
(that were also used in documented executions of Gaza civilians ordered out
of their homes by Israeli troops).

These atrocities demand (1) direct UN military intervention armed with
already-passed UN General Assembly and Security Council Resolutions; (2)
intra-national and inter-national Sanctions and Boycotts against Israel, its
Zionist or pro-Zionist backers in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and
Australia and indeed against all the countries backing Israel; and (3)
arrest and trial before the International Criminal Court (ICC) of all
complicit Israeli politicians, officials and military wherever they can be
apprehended throughout the world.

One of the best-known Jewish scholars in the world today, Professor Jared
Diamond, in his best-selling book "Collapse (Prologue, p10, Penguin edition)
enunciated the "moral principle, namely that it is morally wrong for one
people to dispossess, subjugate, or exterminate another people" - an
injunction grossly violated by Israel.

Further, "zero tolerance for racism", "never again to anyone" and "bear
witness" are the fundamental, moral messages from the Jewish Holocaust (5-6

BEIRUT, Lebanon - When Imad Mughniyah, Hezbollah's top military commander, was assassinated by a car bomb in Damascus one year ago, the militant Shiite group blamed Israel – which denied involvement – and vowed revenge. But a year on, that vow remains unfulfilled, because Hizbullah know well that Asef Shawkat is the Assassin in Chief and the Architect in chief of Imad Moughniah's assassination...which was "sold" through the White House Murder INC, for plenty of good will at the upcoming tribunal ....

While Israel is taking no chances and has tightened security ahead of the Mughniyah anniversary, Israeli officials repeatedly have claimed that threats of massive retaliation to a Hezbollah revenge attack have deterred the Shiite group.

"On the one hand, Hezbollah is driven by its desire to carry out an attack as revenge for the death of Mughniyah ... but they do not want to start a war," Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin, Israel's military intelligence chief, told the Israeli cabinet in a briefing two weeks ago.

Deterrence and counterdeterrence have shaped the Israeli-Arab conflict for decades. Israel relies on the threat of overwhelming military force to cow its Arab enemies. While its military superiority in the past has dealt crushing blows to Arab conventional armies, Israel has struggled to find a means of deterring a new generation of enemies, the smaller sub-state guerrilla movements exemplified by Hezbollah and Hamas.

"These guys are not intimidated by the Israelis," says Timur Goksel, former senior official with the UN peacekeeping force in south Lebanon. "They are ideologically driven and don't have the same responsibilities as a state."

That is why many analysts in Lebanon believe that Hezbollah will respond to Mr. Mughniyah's assassination with a calculated strategic blow to deter further assassinations and restore a balance of deterrence between the two foes.

"The retaliation is a strategic necessity for Hezbollah. In fact, it would be suicidal if Hezbollah did not respond," says Amal Saad-Ghorayeb, a Lebanese specialist on the group.

Analysts say Hezbollah's targeting and timing of a retaliation is more dependent on its multiple, sometimes conflicting, obligations toward its Lebanese Shiite constituents, domestic political allies, ideological interests, and backers in Syria and Iran. Few doubt that a reprisal will come.

"It is necessary to respond to the killing of martyr leader ... Mughniyah to punish the killers," said Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's leader, in a press conference two weeks ago.

Israel's deterrent capability has suffered several blows in recent years. Hezbollah's bombs and bullets drove the Israeli army out of south Lebanon in 2000. Six years later, Israel failed to defeat Hezbollah's battle-hardened guerrillas in a month-long war. The recent three-week onslaught against Hamas in Gaza was, in part, an attempt to show it had learned the lessons of the 2006 war. But with rockets still being fired into Israel nearly a month after the cease-fire, many military analysts question whether the offensive succeeded in restoring Israel's deterrence.

A report released this month by the Center for Strategic and International Studies concluded that while the Israeli army performed more effectively in Gaza than in Lebanon, its tactical gains against Hamas were short-term and no clear strategic benefit was achieved.

"Israel does not seem to have been properly prepared for the political dimensions of the war, or to have had any clear plan and cohesive leadership for achieving conflict termination," wrote military analyst Anthony Cordesman. "Moreover, it seems to have approached the fighting, and the Arab world, from a strategic perspective that will increase instability in the region and ultimately weaken Israel's security."

Hezbollah long ago recognized the value of deterrence. A month after Israel killed Hezbollah leader Sheikh Abbas Mussawi in February 1992, a suicide bomber blew up the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, killing 29 people. While Hezbollah denied responsibility, Israel refrained from assassinating top Hezbollah figures for the next 16 years.

During Israel's occupation of south Lebanon in the 1990s, Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel whenever Israeli forces caused Lebanese civilian casualties. The tit-for-tat tactic helped impose restrictions on the Israeli army's freedom of action in south Lebanon.

After Israel withdrew from Lebanon in 2000, Hezbollah staged periodic attacks against an Israeli-occupied sliver of mountainside called the Shebaa Farms. The attacks were calibrated to needle Israel without eliciting heavy reprisals that could backfire on the party's domestic standing. Similarly, Israel for six years adopted a policy of restraint, recognizing that a disproportionate response would draw rocket salvos on northern Israel.

That "balance of terror" was upset in July 2006 when Hezbollah fighters abducted two Israeli soldiers and Israel responded with war.

Since 2006, Hezbollah and Israel have tried to establish new means of deterrence. Israel has warned that it will flatten Hezbollah-supporting areas of Lebanon in the event of another war. And it remains the chief suspect in Mughniyah's killing, suggesting it has abandoned its moratorium on targeting senior Hezbollah officials.

Though Hezbollah has frozen its attacks on the Shebaa Farms, it has mounted a rearmament, recruitment, and training drive and drawn up fresh battle plans. Israeli intelligence says Hezbollah has amassed three times the number of rockets it had at the start of the 2006 war.

"The Zionists will discover that the war they had in July [2006] was a walk in the park if we compare it to what we've prepared for every new aggression," Sheikh Nasrallah warned in January....

Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah knows full well by now...that it was Asef SHAWKAT who handed Mr. DAQDOUQ to DIA and CIA2 in Iraq, and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah knows that it is Asef SHAWKAT who carried out the gruesome assassination of Moughnieh in Damascus on behalf of CIA2, MOSSAD, DGSE and all the other UKUSA, BND etc.

Hence, no retribution and no revenge on SYRIA...YET... and Sheikh Nasrallah knows the fact that an Iranian faction gave its blessing for this particular operation...by way of Ali Larijani who is a MOSSAD asset in Tehran.

So, people should relax and breath right... nothing is coming now. Nasrallah should get ASSEF SHAWKAT by his balls and drag him into Beirut suburbs...for a while. That dish ain't coming anytime soon, for now !

Feb. 12 will mark the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Imad Mughniyah, one of Hezbollah’s top military commanders. The anniversary certainly will be met with rejoicing in Tel Aviv and Washington — in addition to all the Israelis he killed, Mughniyah also had a significant amount of American blood on his hands. But the date will be met with anger and renewed cries for revenge from Hezbollah’s militants, many of whom were recruited, trained or inspired by Mughniyah....

Because of Hezbollah’s history of conducting retaliatory attacks after the assassination of its leaders, and the frequent and very vocal calls for retribution for the Mughniyah assassination, many observers (including Stratford) have been waiting for Hezbollah to exact its revenge. While the attack has not yet happened, threats continue. For example, in a Jan. 29 news conference, Hezbollah General Secretary Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah left no doubt about the group’s intention. “The Israelis live in fear of our revenge,” he said. “The decision to respond to the killing is still on. We decide the time and the place.”

Initially, given the force of the anger and outcry over the assassination, we anticipated that the strike would come soon after the 30-day mourning period for Mughniyah had passed. Clearly, that did not happen. Now a year has passed since the killing, but the anger and outcry have not died down. Indeed, as reflected by Nasrallah’s recent statement, the leadership of Hezbollah remains under a considerable amount of internal pressure to retaliate. Because any retaliation would likely be tempered by concerns over provoking a full-on Israeli attack against Hezbollah infrastructure (similar to the attack in the summer of 2006), any Hezbollah strike would be conducted in a manner that could provide some degree of plausible deniability.

It is important to remember that Hezbollah retains a considerable capacity to conduct terrorist attacks abroad should it choose to do so. In fact, we believe that, due to its high degree of training, vast experience and close ties to the Iranian government, Hezbollah retains a more proficient and dangerous terrorism capability than al Qaeda.

Repeated calls for revenge and Hezbollah’s capabilities have combined to ensure that the Israeli government maintains a high state of awareness. Even though a year has passed, Israelis, too, are waiting for the other shoe to drop. On Feb. 1, Elkana Harnof of the Counterterrorism Bureau in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office told The Jerusalem Post that, “Based on our information, we believe the organization is planning one large revenge attack close to the anniversary of [Mughniyah’s] death.” Harnof added, “All we can say publicly is that [Hezbollah] has gone to enormous effort to prepare various kinds of terror attacks, and the big one is likely going to take place soon.” Like Stratfor, the Israelis also believe that the attack will be directed against Israeli or Jewish targets outside of Israel.

Busy Bodies

There are a number of indications that Hezbollah has not been idle in the year since Mughniyah’s death. First, there has been a good deal of preoperational activity by Hezbollah militants in several countries, including the United States. This activity has included surveillance and other intelligence-gathering for targeting purposes. At one point last fall, the activity was so intense inside the United States that law enforcement officials believed a strike was imminent — but it never came. Additionally, there are credible reports that Hezbollah plots to strike Israeli targets in Azerbaijan and the Netherlands have been thwarted. (Although, from information we have received, it does not appear that either of these plots was at an advanced stage of the attack cycle.)

We have no reason to doubt the reports of Hezbollah preoperational activity. It is simply what they do and what they are. Even though the group has not conducted a successful attack overseas since 1994, it does maintain a robust network of operatives who stay busily engaged in operational activities. While many of these operatives are involved primarily in financial and logistical activities, we believe it is worth noting that Hezbollah has never conducted or attempted an attack in a country where it did not have such a support network in place. They use these networks to assist their militant activities in a number of ways, but perhaps the most significant way is in the conduct of preoperational surveillance.

Hezbollah, a creature of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, also has a long history of receiving aid from Iranian embassies in its overseas operations, including its terrorist strikes. Almost inevitably, Hezbollah’s overseas attack plans are found to have murky links of some sort to the Iranian embassy in the country where the attack was to occur, and to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security or Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officers stationed there.

Hezbollah utilizes an “off the shelf” method of planning its terrorist attacks. This is very similar to the way major national military commands operate, where they make contingency war plans against potential adversaries in advance and then work to keep those plans updated. This style of sophisticated, advance planning provides Hezbollah’s senior decision makers with a wide array of tactical options, and allows them to assess a number of attack plans in various parts of the world and quickly select and update a particular attack plan when they make the decision to launch it. When they do decide to pull the trigger, they can strike hard and fast.

This type of planning requires a great deal of intelligence-gathering, not only to produce the initial plans but also to keep them updated. Because it requires a lot of collection activity, this effort likely accounts for much of the operational activity that has been observed over the past year in the United States and elsewhere. These ongoing surveillance operations are not just useful for planning purposes, but they are also good for sowing confusion, creating distractions and causing complacency. If Hezbollah operatives have been seen periodically conducting surveillance around a facility and no attack has followed that activity, over time it becomes very easy for security personnel to write off all such activity as harmless — even when it might not be this time.

Not Crying Wolf

There are some who argue that the lack of an attack by Hezbollah since the Mughniyah assassination, combined with the fact that the group has not used its terrorist capability to conduct an attack for many years, signifies that Hezbollah has abandoned its terrorist ways and instead focused on developing its conventional warfare capability.

We do not buy this argument. First, it ignores the existence and purpose of Hezbollah’s Unit 1800, which, among other things, recruits Palestinians for anti-Israeli terror operations inside Israel and the occupied territories. Second, if Hezbollah had abandoned its terrorist arm, there would be no need for the preoperational planning activity noted previously, and in our opinion, reports of such surveillance activity are too frequent and too widespread to be discounted as false sightings. Granted, such activities do cause jitters and have some effectiveness as a psychological warfare tool, but we do not believe that those limited benefits justify the time and effort being put into Hezbollah’s intelligence-collection program. There is also that pesky problem of explaining the thwarted attack plots in Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. Because of this, we do not believe that the U.S. and Israeli governments (among others) are crying wolf when they provide warnings of pending Hezbollah attacks.

We continue to believe that if there is an attack by Hezbollah, it will likely come in a country where there is an existing Hezbollah support apparatus and an Iranian embassy. (Although, in a confined geographic area, operations could be supported in a third country that lacked one or both of those elements.) We also believe that such an attack is more likely in a country where there is ready access to weapons or explosives, and where there are poor law enforcement and intelligence capabilities. We wrote an analysis discussing this in some detail during the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. In that piece, we provided a matrix of the places we believed were most likely to be the site of a Hezbollah attack against Israeli targets, and one of the important criteria we considered was the presence of both an Iranian embassy and a local Hezbollah support network. When we discuss these two elements, it is important to note that in past attacks, the attackers were brought in from the outside in order to provide plausible deniability — but they did receive important support and guidance from the network and embassy.

Since we wrote that analysis in July 2006, there has been a significant increase in Iranian influence in parts of Latin America, including Venezuela, Nicaragua and Bolivia, and Hezbollah has not been far behind. In addition to claims by the U.S. Treasury Department that Venezuelan nationals and organizations are supporting Hezbollah financially, there have been persistent rumors of Hezbollah militants and IRGC officers conducting training at camps in the Venezuelan jungles.

These reports are especially noteworthy when combined with a recent rise in anti-Semitism in Venezuela and an outright hostility toward Jews demonstrated by pro-Chavez militia groups. A pro-Chavez militia is believed to have been involved in the vandalism of the main synagogue in Caracas on the night of Jan. 30-31, 2009. We are among many who don’t buy the government’s official explanation that the vandalism was motivated by robbery. To us, the fact that the intruders remained in the building for several hours, made the effort to scrawl anti-Israeli graffiti inside the building and stole databases containing personal information on congregational members seems very unusual for a simple burglary. Our suspicion is magnified by the extensive anti-Semitic statements made on the Web sites of some of the pro-Chavez militia leaders. All of this raises serious concerns that the Venezuelan government could turn a blind eye to Hezbollah efforts to conduct an attack on Israeli or Jewish interests in that country.

There are many who believe that the anti-Semitic attitudes of the Argentine government in the early 1990s helped embolden Mughniyah and his followers to attack Israeli and Jewish targets there. The anti-Semitic environment in Venezuela today is even more overt and hostile than it was in Argentina.

In keeping with Hezbollah’s history, if an attack is launched, we anticipate that it will have to be fairly spectacular, given the fact that Mughniyah was very important to Hezbollah and its Iranian sponsors — although the attack must not be so spectacular as to cause a full-on Israeli attack in Lebanon. Hezbollah can weather a few airstrikes, but it does not want to provoke an extended conflict — especially as Hezbollah’s political leadership is extremely focused on doing well in the upcoming elections in Lebanon.

Given Hezbollah’s proclivity toward using a hidden hand, we suspect the attack will be conducted by a stealthy and ambiguous cell or cells that will likely have no direct connection to the organization. For example, in July 1994, the group used Palestinian operatives to conduct attacks against the Israeli Embassy and a Jewish nongovernmental organization office in London. Also, as we have seen in prior attacks, if a hardened target such as an Israeli embassy or VIP is not vulnerable, a secondary soft target might be selected. The July 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association in Buenos Aires is a prime example of this type of attack. It should serve as a warning to Jewish community centers and other non-Israeli government targets everywhere that even non-Israeli Jewish targets are considered fair game....LOL.

Tikkun magazine editor Rabbi Michael Lerner, a powerful voice for peace and justice, has informed me that he has been diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer. Rabbi Lerner had never smoked. Doctors believe the cancer is at "stage one" and may be treated successfully with surgery.

The following was received from Rabbi Lerner today:

Dear Sir;

In late January the results of a biopsy showed that I have a relatively rare form of lung cancer (I've never smoked). The doctors believe that this cancer may be "stage one" and hence could be treated through surgery, and I might be able to avoid chemotherapy or radiation treatment. So even though it is cancer, it is not necessarily a death sentence! We'll know more after the operation to remove part of my lung takes place, and then they get the results of the next biopsy.


I'll post updated information in the "Rabbi Lerner" section of www.tikkun.org, so you can go there if you want to know how I'm doing . . .

We refuse to accept global capitalism as the ultimate and only possible economic arrangement, but we also reject bureaucratic socialist solutions. For that reason, we also question "solutions" to the current economic crisis that assume the current economic system to be unchangeable and only seek to bolster and rebuild it. What counts for us is this simple question: when it comes down to the decisions being made on a day-to-day basis, how much do the values of the New Bottom Line determine the outcome? There is enough for everyone on this planet, and we can build an economic reality that shares what we have and also preserves the planet from needless exploitation to create unnecessary consumer goods. It's a real tragedy that the Obama administration isn't using this moment to do just that, rather than what it is trying--to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a system that is morally and economically flawed (and to do so by trying to accommodate the very forces within the Republican Party and the Clintonite "free marketeers" whose worldview brought us this mess in the first place). But of course the issues go way beyond the mistakes of the moment--to a need for a fundamental challenge to rethink the assumptions of our economic life that have encouraged the "looking out for number one" consciousness so deeply ingrained in the thinking of elites and ordinary citizens around the world, a way of thinking that paralyzes and demoralizes us as individuals and that has led to policies that are quite literally destroying the life-support systems of the planet.

Come to our national conference April 29-May 2 in Washington, D.C. It's about Supporting Obama to BE the Obama we Voted For (not the Obama who is seeking to double our forces in Afghanistan, has an economic recovery program that does little for the homeowners who have lost their homes or will soon do so and which gives hundreds of billions to the banks and financial institutions, and who has surrounded himself with the same kind of Center-Right advisors that seem more inclined to follow the ideological leadership of the neo-cons than to respond to the peace, environmental and social-justice-inclined movements that made Obama's candidacy a reality). It will be an important event, if you are there to help us make it so. If the operation goes well, I should be able to be there, even though in a greatly reduced role. I want to meet face-to-face with people who could help take over the NSP and reduce my load within it.

The Yediot Ahronot newspaper said it had received new details about Mughniyeh's death from FDDC and the NID who had been charged with obfuscating the killing, and from Robert Baer, a former CIA case officer, in order to protect Asef Shawkat and the White House Murder Inc,

The report claimed that important details used to plan the assassination were gathered from Ali Moussa Daqduq, a Hezbollah operative who was arrested in Iraq in January 2007, where he was allegedly training members of the Shiite Mehdi Army. He was handed to US intelligence agents, who extracted a wealth of information about Mughniyeh from their prisoner, including his telephone numbers, his physical description, his behavioral traits and the names of his acquaintances.

The US then passed this information to the Israeli intelligence service, which began planning an operation to kill the Hezbollah military mastermind.

The newspaper says a single mistake by Mughniyeh led to his death. Israel received intelligence that he would be attending a reception hosted by Iran's new ambassador to Damascus to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Mughniyeh had apparently eschewed his usual security detail for the event, traveling without his bodyguards or chauffeur, and had arrived at the reception alone. While Mughniyeh was attending the reception, the assassins broke into his car, a silver Mitsubishi Pajero, removing the headrest on his seat and replacing it with an identical one loaded with explosives.

Rather than setting the explosives on a timer, the agents used a remote controlled charge that they could detonate at the right moment. They lay in wait for their quarry and when he was in the car, they detonated the explosives, killing him instantly....

His death sent shockwaves through Hezbollah, an organization known for being almost impenetrable to hostile intelligence agencies, and the group's leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah immediately pledged revenge.

Almost a year on, no response has come. But during a news conference held at the end of January, Nasrallah reiterated his promise to avenge the assassination. "The Israelis live in fear of our revenge," he said. "The decision to respond to the killing is still on. We decide the time and the place"

His comments have sparked fears in Israel that a Hezbollah revenge attack is imminent. Israeli troops stationed on the border with Lebanon have been placed on high alert, and the Jewish state's counter-terrorism bureau has issued a warning to Israeli nationals that they may be targeted abroad.

Israeli politicians, currently locked in a bitter election race, have pledged a devastating response to any Hezbollah attack. On a visit to northern Israel last week, Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned that Lebanon would be held responsible for Hezbollah's actions.

"Hezbollah is not just a terrorist organization running around the hills but also sits at the cabinet table in Beirut," Barak said. "Therefore, the Lebanese government bears overall responsibility and any attempt to attack Israel will be met with a response."

In March 2001 Susan Lindauer carried a message from the Iraqi government to her cousin, the White House Chief of Staff, requesting the return of weapons inspectors. This proved that Iraq had no WMD, so the U.S. government knew that then. But Bush and Cheney nevertheless attacked and invaded Iraq using WMD as a pretext, murdered as many as 500,000 people, and spread radioactive poison over the entire country, which will murder millions more. Now they are holding Lindauer in prison on false claims of insanity, and are about to commit and forcibly drug her, to prevent her from ever being able to tell her story.

Susan Lindauer was a U.S. Senate and House aide and a reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. In the 1990s, a CIA agent, the ex-chief of station in Syria, told her that, contrary to what the U.S. government was insisting, Libya had nothing to do with the PanAm 103/Lockerbie bombing. It had been done by Syrians acting on behalf of some U.S. intelligence agents, who had been caught in criminal actions by an oversight team, and sought to kill that team as they were flying back to Washington to report. She communicated that information to various members of the U.S. intelligence community, and wrote some of it in a deposition for the trial of the Libyans who were being framed by the U.S.

More recently, Lindauer tried to save Iraqi and American lives by acting as a diplomatic back-channel between the Iraqi government, and the U.S government in the person of her cousin, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card. Among other things, she conveyed the message in March 2001 that the Iraqi government was very eager to have weapons inspectors come back to their country in order to prove that they had no weapons of mass destruction. That letter is the first of the three shown below, scanned in from a photocopy.

That letter, along with Susan Lindauer's testimony, proves that Iraq had no WMD in March 2001 -- otherwise they would not have requested inspectors -- and that the U.S. government knew it.

But the Neocons wanted to attack Iraq anyhow, to make huge profits for the weapons manufacturers, to seize the oil resources, to get more military bases in the area, and to fulfill the wishes of their very close allies, the Israelis, who had been publicly urging an attack on Iraq.

So, even though it knew Iraq had no WMD, the U.S. government used WMD as a pretext for attacking and invading Iraq, murdering as many as 500,000 innocent people, and spreading depleted uranium dust all over the country, which will poison and kill millions more people in the future.

This is why the government is keeping Susan Lindauer in prison, and is now seeking to forcibly drug her into an incoherent and helpless state using psychiatric medications, despite the fact that her court-appointed psychiatrist found that she was completely sane and competent (see reports below).

If she is permitted to tell her story, the world will know for certain that the U.S. government murdered half a million people for no other reasons than greed and power.

The hearing to have Susan Lindauer committed and forcibly medicated is scheduled for May 4, but it might not be beyond the government to move it to an earlier date to prevent her from getting competent representation. She needs a good, courageous attorney who is willing to confront the U.S. government with the evidence presented here, showing that she is sane, was seeking to save lives, and has been imprisoned in an attempt to cover up genocidal mass murder.
