We import over $330 billion in goods from China each year while exporting a little over $70 billion. You might think that the Chinese would at least have the cash to pay for American expertise when it comes to getting rid of their unwanted high rise buildings. After all, we are the experts ... the best in the world. Getting those buildings to fall at near free fall speed and into their own footprint takes some skill and experience.
At the least they could use consultants such as Controlled Demolition, Inc. to shore up the details. CDI even contributed to the NIST WTC 7 collapse final report so they have credentials. And they are very good at cleaning up the mess, having worked at the WTC and the Murrah Building. The cleanup also goes quicker if most of the concrete is pulverized to dust and the debris is in a small pile.
You get what you pay for. The Chinese should have learned that by now.
